‘Rose at 7.00, after fairly good night’s rest. Kulkarni brought tea. At 9.00 Phulgele brought jeep. All went to Diksha ground. Thousands of people there, many of whom had spent the night. Met Kawale at others. Then to Nagpur Central jail. Spoke to about 500 prisoners, many of them Buddhists. D.I.G., Deputy Superintendent and many others present. Afterwards had tea. Quite a grand reception. Back to Diksha ground. Gave Trisarana and Pancha Sila. Very hot. Went round the area with Terry and others. Terry took many pictures.’
