Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust & Literary Executors
Urgyen House is the responsibility of the Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust which is the working name of Uddiyana Trust, a UK charity (reg 1046398), dedicated to preserving Urgyen Sangharakshita’s legacy. In 2005 Sangharakshita donated all his books and artefacts to the Trust, and by his Will placed his literary, photographic and audio archives also into Uddiyana’s care. The Trust looks after all of this and works, through Urgyen House and the Sangharakshita Library, and with the Literary Executors, to make this valuable legacy accessible to future generations.

The Literary Executors
The Literary Executors were appointed by Sangharakshita. They administer his Literary Estate on behalf of the Urgyen Sangharakshita Trust. In particular, the Literary Executors have responsibility for managing the copyrights for, access to, and use of anything written by Sangharakshita.
They are also responsible for the copyrights for all audio and video recordings of Sangharakshita's talks, seminars, interviews etc. and anything containing his spoken word or personal appearance. They liaise closely with Windhorse Publications, Sangharakshita’s publishers, and with other Triratna media institutions; as well as with the Triratna Translations Board, which oversees the translation of Sangharakshita’s writings into many languages.
