Before leaving India Sangharakshita spent a few days with his old friends Lama Govinda and Li Gotami.

‘At 10.15 left for Lama Govinda’s place. Very pleasant walk. Arrived by 11.00. Very warmly welcomed by Lama and Li. All had a good long talk. Touched on many topics.’

‘At Lama Govinda’s by 11.00. Lama and Li performed puja of Arya Maitreya Mandala. Then had something to eat. Good discussion. Possibility of holding exhibition of Li’s photographs etc. at British Museum. Returned by 6.30.’
